RUVI XR LABS / ABOUT

An applied lab for
the physical world.

Ruvi XR Labs is an applied AI and XR lab in Seattle. We build systems that help people interact with information while staying focused on the world around them.

FIG. 00.1 — ONE STACK, TWO PRODUCTS

01 — WHAT WE BELIEVE

The work should not
interrupt the work.

Smart glasses are not a smaller phone. They sit closer to a person's attention — and their privacy — than any screen, so the rules have to be built in, not added later.

01

Capture on purpose

Nothing is recorded until the wearer asks. A light and a tone show when it is, and the wearer decides what is kept.

02

Evidence over confidence

Answers point back to the moment they came from. When nothing was saved, the system says so instead of guessing.

03

People stay in the loop

AI assists. A trusted person or a remote expert joins only when you call them — never on their own.

04

Private by default

What you save stays yours unless you choose to share it, and processing runs close to where the data lives.

02 — WHAT WE BUILD

One platform,
two products.

MEMO applies physical-world intelligence to everyday life. MEMO Maritime applies it to frontline work. Both run on the same stack.

01 — EVERYDAY ASSISTANCEEarly access open

MEMO

AI assistance for everyday life.

MEMO answers questions about what you are looking at, remembers the moments you choose, and connects you with a trusted person when AI is not enough.

FOROlder adults, families and carers, and anyone with too much to keep track of.

02 — FRONTLINE INTELLIGENCEPilots open

MEMO Maritime

Hands-free intelligence for frontline work.

MEMO Maritime helps marine technicians capture maintenance evidence while they work, and retrieve it — grounded in the source observation — when the next repair depends on it.

FORMarine technicians, service companies and vessel operators.

03 — HOW WE GOT HERE

Built, tested —
and rethought.

The first prototype worked. Using it showed us what it shouldn't do, and that changed both products.

  1. THE START

    A hackathon win

Our working smart-glasses prototype won the NVIDIA Spark Hackathon in Seattle. Its camera stayed on and tracked objects in the background.

  2. WHAT WE LEARNED

    Always-on was the wrong default

A camera that never stops drains the battery fast — and asks the wearer, and everyone around them, to accept being recorded all the time.

  3. THE RETHINK

    Capture on purpose

Both products now save a moment only when the wearer asks. Less footage, longer battery, and a record people agreed to.

  4. NOW

Building with the people who'll use it

MEMO early access and development studies are open. MEMO Maritime is setting up first pilots with crews and operators.

04 — WORK WITH US

Three ways in.

Every conversation starts with a short form, so nothing gets lost in an inbox and we can reply to each one ourselves.

  1. 01

    Try MEMO early

Prototype access and studies for people, families and carers.

    Request early access
  2. 02

    Run a Maritime pilot

One workflow, one vessel, measured before and after.

    Request a pilot call
  3. 03

    Partner or research with us

Perception, memory, hardware — or a study on wearable assistance.
